County Library Embarks on Feedback Gathering Effort

"Now is a spectacular time to speak up about what you love to support and services or products you wish the library will provide in the future," county officials said.

The following is a news release from the County of Marin:

If you are a regular visitor to branches of the Marin County  Free Library (MCFL), you know how important public support is for our library network. Now is a spectacular time to speak up about what you love to support and services or products you wish the library will provide in the future.

Sara Jones, Director of Library Services with MCFL, is working with her staff to collect feedback about library customer service and assess needs for long-range fiscal planning purposes. A planning meeting is set for 6:30 p.m. March 4 at Marin Center’s Manzanita Room, and you are invited to come share your thoughts. The Manzanita Room is at 10 Avenue of the Flags, near Exhibition Hall and the Showcase Theater.

MCFL card holders recently were mailed a 2013 Accountability Report packed with information about how the library branches are funded. The mailer included a comment/question card that can be mailed back to MCFL staff. Those interested in contributing advice can fill out and mail the card, fill out an electronic form or email library@marincounty.org.

MCFL serves the unincorporated areas of Marin as well as the City of Novato and the towns of Fairfax and Corte Madera.
