City to Sell Office Furniture, Supplies at Public Auction

The city is clearing out its storage in preparation for the move into new quarters and putting surplus furniture on sale

The city of Novato will sell furniture from its old City Hall, including desks, chairs, bookcases, filing cabinets, printers and fax machines at a public auction this Saturday, November 9.

The auction will take place from 9 to 11am in the parking lot of 75 Rowland Way.

Items will be sold via silent auctions, in $1 bid increments. Other items for sale include drafting tables, modular furniture and miscellaneous office equipment. Pre-registration table opens at 8:30am. Auction winners announced at 11:30am. Items must be moved by 2pm same day.

The sale paves the way for a move of about 65 city employees into new offices on Machin Avenue.
