Michael Frank's 'State of the City' address was given March 11 before the Novato Chamber of Commerce.

Novato City Manager Michael Frank appeared at a Novato Chamber of Commerce event on March 11 and delivered his "State of the City" address before about 50 business and civic leaders at Inn Marin in Ignacio.

He talked about the effects of the recession, staff reductions approved by the Novato City Council, the passage of a half-cent sales tax measure and a variety of other topics. He included lots of good news on the business development front such as the resurgence of Pacheco Plaza, the movement to reopen the long-closed Novato Theater and the strong state of the city's biotech industry.
