Andalou Naturals Receives Sustainable North Bay Award

Assemblyman Jared Huffman presented the award in recognition of the Novato company's commitment to creating products that are both good for people and the planet,

Novato-based Andalou Naturals, which makes personal care products with organic content, was recently named the recipient of Assemblymember Jared Huffman's Sustainable North Bay Award.

Huffman presented the award in recognition of the company’s commitment to creating products that are both good for people and the planet, according to a release. Andalou Naturals strives to “encompass environmentally responsible and sustainable practices in every aspect of our brand, our business, and our daily operations.”

Andalou Naturals’ skin care, hair care, and body care products utilize innovative fruit stem cell science, blended with natural and fair-trade ingredients, with a minimum 70 percent certified organic content. The brand is available at Whole Foods, Pharmaca, and natural products stores nationwide. Since its launch in 2011, Andalou Naturals has employed 14 employees including Stacey Kelly Egide, Mark Egide, Alex Lindsay, Ryan Eck, Loren Egide, and Alissa Berihu.
