Yellers and Screamers Get Deserved Attention

The following information from Feb. 27-28 was supplied by the Novato Police Department. Arrests do not indicate a conviction.


The Headliner: 

Feb. 28, 12:33 a.m. – A noise disturbance was reported in the creek area behind the .  The reporting party said that there were people screaming in the creek area, and as soon as the police left they started screaming about the .  The people were contacted and advised of the complaint and future NPD action. 

3:06 a.m. – A noise disturbance was reported in the creek area behind the Novato Fair Shopping Center.  The reporting party said that homeless people were yelling and screaming.  One was booked into Marin County Jail for public drunkenness. 

Feb. 27 


Feb. 28 

7:42 a.m. – A man and his wife were told to leave a house in the 600 block of Albatross Drive.  The reporting party said the man was irate and throwing thing at the resident because the reporting party didn’t want him to take their four-month-old child.  The man was arrested and booked for violating a court order. 

11:32 a.m. – Officer(s) provided advice to a reporting party who said that a verbal argument was heard yesterday while at .  The reporting party looked over the fence and asked the residents of a home on Lobo Vista who were using loud obscenities to quite down.  A man then mooned the reporting party.  Officer(s) advised and admonished and left a voice mail for the reporting party.

4:12 p.m. – A petty theft was reported on Williamson Court.  The reporting party said that her purse was stolen from a shopping cart while she was putting groceries into her car in the .  The loss is $50 in cash and multiple credit cards.  

5:00 p.m. – An assault and battery was reported on Pamaron Way.  The reporting party said that his 29-year-old son had been drinking and had attacked him.  The reporting party was contacted who was verbally abusive.  The reporting party was asked several times how he could be assisted. 

7:42 p.m. – A welfare check was requested by a woman in the 800 block of Reichert Avenue.  She said that her husband was arrested on Feb. 19 for domestic violence.  He is back home now and she thinks that he is very high on crack.  She says that he is accusing her of cheating and that he thinks that 20 people are en route to beat him up.  The man was contacted and evaluated and found not to be under the influence.  The reporting party was contacted and advised of the disposition. 

7:51 p.m. – A person was reported to be sitting in the bike lane on the roadway in the vicinity of Novato Boulevard and San Miguel Way.  The reporting party was unsure of the sex of the person but said that the person had long hair and was wearing white sweats.  The woman was located and found to be too intoxicated to care for herself.  She was arrested and booked at Marin County Jail.
