Woman Suspected of Stabbing Female Roommate

A Novato woman was booked at Marin County Jail on suspicion of stabbing a female roommate at the , said Friday.

Marjorie Collins, 44, was arrested at 7:02 p.m. Wednesday following a report of a fight over personal property at the apartment complex on Diablo Avenue, Novato police Lt. Keith Heiden said. The 26-year-old roommate sustained a small laceration on her left arm and a scratch on the nose, according to the police report. It was not clear whether she was hospitalized.

Collins faces felony a charges of assault with a deadly weapon and a misdemeanor exhibiting of a deadly weapon. On Friday, the Marin County District Attorney’s office tacked on a count of felony infliction of a corporal injury on a spouse or cohabitant. Collins’ bail was set at $52,500.
