A 21 year old woman was arrested Thursday after she led officers on a chase from Richmond, across the San Rafael Bridge and into Novato in a stolen U-Haul truck.

Novato police say the woman, identified as Shyra Bryant, of Richmond,  stole the van in Richmond Thursday morning. CHP gave chase, but lost track of the woman, notifying Novato dispatch that the driver exited on DeLong Avenue.

Novato officers conducted an area check for the stolen vehicle and found it parked on Adrienne Street. Officers then set up a perimeter in an attempt to locate the driver and found her hiding in someone's backyard on Adrienne Street.

WOW! It used to be they'd steal a car in Marin and then run to their hideout in Richmond. Thanks, ABAG! By the way, who was chasing the U Haul, the Keystone Cops? Sad day when a U Haul can outrun the cops.
