A woman in her 80s lost control of her car on Highway 101 and skidded off the right shoulder Tuesday afternoon, resulting in a response from the Novato Fire District crew.
The woman was northbound on 101 on the hill between Marinwood and Nave Drive when she veered off to the right and off the roadway, said Division Chief Mark Heine. The car, a small sedan, ended up about 20 feet down a hill.
The woman complained of neck pain and was taken to Kaiser hospital in Terra Linda, Heine said. The California Highway Patrol was investigating the crash.
