Woman Arrested for Multiple DUIs

Driver hits parked car and is then found to have multiple DUI arrests.

Novato police arrested resident Ann Cipriano, 50, Friday night for a suspected DUI after she hit a parked car.

Upon running her license, said Lt. Keith Heiden, the officers found Cipriano had three or more previous DUI convictions in the last ten years, making an additional DUI arrest a more serious charge under the California Vehicle Code.

According to Heiden, Cipriano hit the back of a parked car in the 400 block of Alameda del Prado around 10:20 p.m. and suffered minor injuries. Officers were called to the scene for a traffic collision.

When the officers arrived at the scene, he said, two witnesses identified Cipriano as the driver. Officers conducted field sobriety tests on the scene and she was arrested for a suspected DUI.

She was medically cleared for her injuries and booked into the county jail for DUI and for a DUI with three or more convictions in the last ten years. She is being held on $75,000 bail, because of the repeated DUI conviction.
