Two Threatening Suspects Reported on Fourth Street

Selected calls from the log books of Novato PD, March 27-30.

March 27             

1:22 a.m. – A subject was arrested and booked into juvenile hall for driving under the influence in the 1800 block of Virginia Avenue.  The subject also faces charges of driving without a license, possession of marijuana, and no evidence of financial responsibility. 

10:08 a.m. – A burglary was reported on Kristy Court.  A vehicle was burglarized over night.  The loss is undetermined at this time.

11:52 a.m. – A burglary was reported at Lynwood Elementary School.  Interior door locks were found tampered with and the interior of the school appears to have been gone through.  Loss is unknown at this time. 

11:53 a.m. – A supplemental report was taken for a burglary reported at Sinaloa Middle School.  A pipe with a plastic bag on it was found and believed used to break a window.

7:31 p.m. – A grand theft was reported on San Miguel Way. Unknown suspect(s) entered a residence through a rear door and stole two bottles of wine and a bike valued at $3000.  Another bicycle was left in its place.  The house had been vacant but locked. 

10:20 p.m. – A subject was arrested and booked for driving under the influence in the vicinity of Novato Boulevard and Wilson Avenue.  The subject also faces charges of driving on a suspended license.  The passenger of the vehicle was arrested and booked and faces charges for public drunkenness.   

10:22 p.m. – A warrant arrest was made on Bolling Drive.  The subject was arrested and booked into Marin County Jail for an outstanding Sonoma County warrant. 

March 28 

10:16 a.m. – A burglary was reported in the 1700 block of Marion Avenue.  Unknown suspect(s) entered a victim’s vehicle over night and took cash, a watch and a knife in a sheath.  Total loss is undetermined at this time. 

11:21 a.m. – Suspicious circumstances were reported at Olive Elementary School.  First-graders were involved in a possession of a BB gun on school property the previous day.  All students involved are present today including the child that had the gun.  Officer(s) spoke to two students and their parents regarding BB guns and safety. 

11:56 a.m. – A welfare check was requested for a woman who appeared to have been drinking in the 300 block of Enfrente Road.  The woman was mumbling and stated that she didn’t know where she was. 

12:27 p.m. – Property of a suspect was found in the large trash bins at San Ramon Elementary School.  Computers, a refrigerator, furniture and clothes were found in the bins on school property.  The investigation is continuing.  The woman was arrested and booked for public drunkenness. 

6:17 p.m. – A patient in the emergency room at Novato Community Hospital was reported to be a danger to himself and others.  The patient was speaking about himself being possessed.  He also stated that his wife and kids are possessed.  The subject’s wife is on scene and states she is scared for herself and kids. 

6:30 p.m. – A woman was reported to be down in the vicinity of Center Road and Wilson Avenue.  The woman was so intoxicated that she was not ambulatory.  The Novato Fire District transported her to Novato Community Hospital. 

7:59 p.m. – A 16-year-old boy was reported to be out of control on Hollyleaf Way.  The juvenile got upset over his X-box being taken away by his uncle because of his behavior.  The boy turned over chairs and miscellaneous items throughout the house in anger.  Officer(s) provided advice to both parties.  The juvenile will clean up the mess. 

9:44 p.m. – A warrant arrest was made on Hutchins Way.  A subject was arrested and booked into Marin County Jail for two outstanding Marin County warrants. 

10:38 p.m. – A subject was arrested and booked for driving under the influence in the vicinity of First Street and Olive Avenue. 

11:47 p.m. – A business owner at Hamilton Marketplace requested extra patrols at his business.  The business owner’s residence had been burglarized and the keys to his business had been stolen.  He stated that the locks would be changed the next day. 

March 29 

7:13 a.m. – The reporting party’s nephew on Hollyleaf Way is refusing to go to school.  The uncle was advised to call police if he refuses to go to school.  The subject was contacted and transported to San Marin High School. 

10:05 a.m. – Graffiti vandalism was reported at Marin Landscape Materials on Redwood Boulevard.  Gang graffiti was found to the rear of a storage shed near the railroad tracks. 

2:30 p.m. – A subject reported to have been drinking was found sleeping in the eating area at McDonald's restaurant on Redwood Boulevard.  The subject was booked for public drunkenness and violation of probation. 

4:01 p.m. – A non-injury accident was reported in the vicinity of Black John Road and Redwood Boulevard.  The driver was booked for driving under the influence and a parole violation. 

10:02 p.m. – A reporting party stated that two men that appeared to have been drinking and were threatening were sited in the 1000 block of Fourth Street.   An uncooperative subject was located and arrested and booked into Marin County Jail for public drunkenness. 

10:40 p.m. – A man appearing to be disoriented was reported in the vicinity of Center Road and Diablo Avenue.  A subject was booked into Marin County Jail for public drunkenness. 

March 30 

7:17 a.m. – A burglary was reported on Sinaloa Court.  The victim’s unlocked vehicle was entered over night and a knife, a GPS and four waters were taken.  Estimated loss is $355. 

11:41 a.m. – Suspicious circumstances were reported at Novato High School.  A reporting party driving past the school saw a male with a ski mask on.  Officer(s) contacted a group of juveniles who were filming an anti-drug video for their health class.  The student’s teacher was aware of the student’s activities.  

2:32 p.m. – An armed robbery in progress was reported on Hutchins Way.  The reporting party stated that a man and a woman pulled knives on him and took his money.  The investigation is continuing. 

4:21 p.m. – A grand theft was reported in the 700 block of Bel Marin Keys Boulevard.  Unknown subject(s) broke a rear passenger window yesterday evening and took the victims bike valued at $3,000. 

7:39 p.m. – A burglary was reported on the 1400 block of Pastel Lane.  A locked vehicle was broken into and two GPS units and business keys were taken. 

7:56 p.m. – Shoplifting was reported at the CVS pharmacy on Grant Avenue.  Three juveniles were cited for theft from a merchant and for possession of alcohol.
