On August 4, deputies responding to an unrelated call in Marinwood noticed a car matching auto seen in the McDonald’s video. Inside the car were the two suspects previously identified, along with two other juveniles, according to Lt. Barry Heying.

Three of the four vehicle occupants were arrested and much of the missing property was recovered said Lt. Heying.

Corey James Phillips, a 19-year-old San Rafael resident was booked into the Marin County Jail on suspicion of receiving stolen property, burglary, and giving false identification to a pawnbroker, according to the Marin County Sherriff’s department.

A 17-year-old Marin City male was booked into Marin County Juvenile Hall on the same charges.

A 16-year-old San Rafael male was cited for possession of nitrous oxide, possession of less and an ounce of marijuana and as a minor in possession of tobacco. He was released to his parents.

According to Lt. Heying, the investigation is continuing because some of the missing property was sold to pawnbrokers in the area.
