Two Rollover Crashes on City's West Side

Sunday afternoon wrecks took place about 20 minutes apart.

Four people were involved in two crashes on Novato's west side within about 20 minutes of each other Sunday afternoon, but only one person was hospitalized, according to a source.

A man and woman escaped serious injury at about 4:45 p.m. when their white SUV crashed on San Marin Drive, according to firefighter Owen Valuch. The vehicle occupants suffered no injuries and were speaking to Novato police officers as traffic was slowed in the 400 block of San Marin Drive between Sereno Way and San Carlos Drive.

It appeared the westbound SUV crossed through the vegetation-filled barrier and ended up on its roof in the eastbound lanes, several sources said.
