Timber! Tree Crashes Across Indian Valley Road
Novato Fire District crew cleans up woody mess at intersection of Syl Dor and Indian Valley.
A tree crashed down onto Indian Valley Road in Novato just after the lunch hour Monday, blocking the southbound lane, according to a Novato Fire District source.
A crew from the San Marin fire station came over and fired up a chainsaw, slicing up the six-inch-diameter branches and tossing them to the side of the road near the intersection of Syl Dor Lane. Traffic, if you want to call it that, was only affected for about 20 minutes.
