Three Kids Cited for Graffiti at Century Rowland Plaza Theater

Officers came across juveniles with spray paint near Old Town on Thursday night.

Three kids were caught red-handed — actually black- and silver-handed — Thursday night after spray-painting graffiti on the back of a movie theater near shopping center, police said Friday.

officers heard the rattling of spray paint cans when they approached the three suspects — two 12-year-olds and one 14-year-old — at 9:40 p.m. near Vallejo Avenue and Fourth Street just north of the Old Town area. The rattle was coming from the backpack of one of the juveniles, police said.

An investigation determined that the youngsters obtained the spray paint from one of their homes and painted the doors behind the Century Rowland Plaza Theater.
