Structure Fire Reported in Downtown Area
Crews taking on a garage blaze not far from Hilltop 1892 restaurant.
crews were tending to a structure fire Saturday morning in the garage of a home on Hayden Avenue in the downtown area, according to a Facebook posting by the district.
Four engines, one ladder truck, a medic unit and two chiefs responded to 836 Hayden Ave., on the hill that overlooks Old Town to the north. The location is not far from the Hilltop 1892 restaurant.
The district reported that the fire was limited to the garage. More details to come later.
