Screaming Woman Faces Drug Charges

Police found her yelling for her husband outside of a home off Simmons Lane.

A complaint of a woman yelling outside of a Novato house while looking her husband Friday resulted in felony drug charges against the woman Monday, police said.

Novato officers responded early Friday morning to the 2000 block of Leese Lane, just off Simmons Lane, after a report of a woman knocking on a door and yelling, said police Lt. Dave Jeffries. She was found sitting in some bushes and saying she was looking for her husband.

After observing her behavior and the fact that she said she wasn't cold in the 30-degree weather, "the officers thought maybe there was something more going on," Jeffries said.
