Pulled Over for Burned-Out Headlight, Man Faces a Dozen Charges

Warrants were out for the arrest for a 27-year-old Novato man, including for burglary and ID fraud.

A 27-year-old Novato man faces 12 charges ranging from felony burglary to speeding after he was pulled over for having a headlight out, said.

Alvaro A. Yanaz Romero was arrested at the intersection of Bolling Drive and Bolling Circle at 12:36 a.m. Tuesday. Officers found outstanding warrants on his record, including one of for a burglary in Marin County. In a search of his vehicle, officers found a computer that was stolen in Sonoma County, according to the serial number.

Romero faces felony charges of burglary, receiving stolen property, unlawful display of false registration, personate to make another person liable and obtaining credit cards to use somebody else’s identification. He faces several other misdemeanors and infractions.
