Police Investigating Woman's Death in Novato

A woman in her 50s was found dead in a March Field Court condo in Novato east of U.S. Highway 101 early this morning, a Novato police lieutenant said.

One of the woman's roommates found the unresponsive woman and called police around 12:55 a.m., Lt. Oliver Collins said.

The cause of death has not been determined but it is not considered a natural death, Collins said.

Several roommates of the deceased woman have been cooperative with the investigation and have provided statements to detectives, Collins said.

There is no threat to the public and there are no outstanding persons of interest involved in the death investigation, Collins said.
