Police Blotter: Angry Emails From a Parent, Naked Laundry and Phone Fraud

Highlights from the Novato Police Department's crime logs from November 26 to December 2.

A teacher at Sinaloa Middle School said that she has been receiving threatening emails from a parent who is unhappy with her daughter's grade. Police took a report.

A woman called police to say that eggs vandals had thrown had caused damage to her artificial lawn in the 100 block of Presidio Drive December 2.

Morgan Michael Frey, 26, was arrested December 2 on charges of driving under the influence, driving on a suspended license and possession of unlawful paraphernalia.

The owner of a Honda Ridgeline said their vehicle was stolen between November 30 and December 1. The vehicle was parked in the 100 block of Trinity Drive.

An employee of Inn Marin called the police November 30 after seeing a naked man in the laundry room of the hotel who was washing his clothes. The employee also said the subject had walked into another guest's room.

A resident of the 100 block of Oliva Street was defrauded after giving their financial information to a person who said they worked for PG&E. The caller said the resident faced having their service cut off if they wouldn't pay immediately. Police advise residents to never disclose their personal information to random callers and always call the company to verify.

A young man ended up in the emergency room after he drank rubbing alcohol on November 28. The victim's brother said that he had been depressed and may have drank it to kill himself.

A home in the 1200 block of Maple Court was broken into November 28. Items stolen include a TV and Playstation. It appears the burglar gained entry into the home through a kitchen window.

The rear window of a car parked on Antoinette Court was smashed on November 27. Damage is estimated at $200.

Two capped hypodermic needles were found near a daycare located at 84 Martin Dr. on November 27. No further information is available.

Police received a report of a man selling alcohol out of his vehicle on Redwood Boulevard near De Long Avenue on November 27. The subject had left by the time police arrived.

A woman contacted police for help after discovering that an adult man was contacting her teenager son online. Police responded and gave the parent advice about how to hide certain information from online accounts.

Shawn Kessler, 20, of Novato was arrested Nov. 26 on charges of possession of a leaded cane/billy club, receiving stolen property and possession of a controlled substance.
