Police Arrest Novato Man Following Burglary at Old Town Business

Suspect also gives false ID to police.

A 21-year-old Novato man was arrested late Sunday and booked on suspicion of a commercial burglary in the downtown area plus providing false information during his arrest, said Monday.

Police received a call at 11:58 p.m. about an apparent burglary in progress in the 800 block of Grant Avenue in the Old Town area. The person who called met officers and pointed out where the suspect was last seen. Officers found the suspect, Djuan Deric Lee Eure, nearby and took him into custody without incident, police said.

During his arrest, Eure gave a false name and other errant identification, police said. He was booked for the false ID misdemeanor as well as for felony burglary, and his bail was set at $15,000, according to the Marin County Jail booking log.
