Police Arrest 4 After Hamilton Vehicles Ransacked

Resident's call alerts police to catch group in the act near Las Lomas Drive.

An alert neighbor's call to police led to the arrest of four teens connected to car thefts in a Hamilton neighborhood early Sunday morning, police said Tuesday.

A citizen on Las Lomas Drive reported seeing several male teens looking into parked cars at about 12:56 a.m., prompting officers to swing by, Sgt. Eric Riddell said. Five subjects were contacted near the corner of Crescent and San Jose drives and found to be in possession of items that appeared to have been taken from vehicles.

Officers checked the area and found several cars that looked as if they had been entered and ransacked, Riddell said. The items were taken into custody that night, and Hamilton residents were contacted later to confirm the losses. In all, items from 15-18 unlocked vehicles had been stolen.
