Police: Novato Bicyclist Nabbed with Meth, Pot

The man was booked into Marin County Jail on suspicion of possession of marijuana for sale, possession of narcotic paraphernalia and violation of probation.

A man was arrested in Novato on Sunday night after police found marijuana and methamphetamine in his backpack, according to police.

 Officers stopped bicyclist Scott Hupp, 51, of Novato, for a vehicle code violation in the 7300 block of Redwood Boulevard around 11:20 p.m., police said.

 They searched him and found a metamphetamine pipe, marijuana believed to be for sale, marijuana seeds and packing materials in his backpack, according to police.

 Hupp was booked into Marin County Jail on suspicion of possession of marijuana for sale, possession of narcotic paraphernalia and violation of probation.
