Person Arrested for DUI at Checkpoint

One person was arrested Friday night during a sobriety and driver's license checkpoint on Ignacio Boulevard in Novato, police said.
 
The checkpoint at Palmer Drive screened 807 drivers and found nine moving violations, police said.
 
Police conducted field sobriety tests on 28 drivers and arrested one on suspicion of driving under the influence.
 
Another six were cited for driving without a license and 2 cited for driving on a suspended license. Three vehicles were towed, police said.
