Shrubs around crosswalk entry need to be removed or trimmed back! I think of it every time I drive through there. So lame ...no one cares. Not surprised this happened!

Sorry, seems this happened further up Redwood near Trader Joe's. Still trimming of schrubs needs to done in center median bus stop in front of Peets!!

Concerned Citizen, I agree that the visibility there is terrible. And after the workshop we will probably get another stop sign there! Another thing I have noticed there is that at least one bus driver comes zooming out of the central area onto Redwood without even slowing down, also almost causing accidents!

Gram, I had to look it up myself to be sure, but Peet's is listed as 7320 Redwood and Mcdonald's 7340.

Problems with most crosswalks around Novato deals with poor lighten and obstruction of them. Like Concern Citizen mentioned the system Petaluma has seems to work fine. I have even seen the system being used in a residential area. How many more people are going to either be critically injured or perhaps being killed in crosswalks for the City to fix the problem. At issue is also the careless drivers who assume a stopped vehicle at crosswalk stopped for nothing but in fact there is some one crossing. I have seen it happen in many places around Novato. So, I figure the City have not learned from the death they already experienced. So, I guess its seems cheaper for the City to pay out in lawsuit for not taking action on prevention of crosswalk accidents. Wake up City of Novato
