By Bay City News Service:

Police in Novato arrested a Richmond woman Friday afternoon for multiple charges during a welfare check.

Officers responded to a home in the 5400 block of Nave Drive in Novato at about 2 p.m. Friday to conduct a welfare check of a female associated with a Honda car, police said.

While at the home, officers contacted 36-year-old Kasacha McNevin, of Richmond, and learned that she had a felony warrant issued for her arrest from the Richmond Police Department, according to officers.

Police said that the car McNevin had was reported stolen out of Richmond. Officers searched the car and found drug paraphernalia and various electronics, police said.

McNevin was arrested and booked into Marin County Jail for possession of a stolen vehicle, possession of stolen property and for the outstanding warrant.
