Novato Police Make 3 More Arrests in Recent Gang Attack

Between Tuesday and Thursday, police arrested three additional suspects in connection with the incident.

Police in Novato have made three additional arrests in connection with a Sunday evening assault in which a man was attacked multiple times by assailants who at one point tried to run him down with a car. 

The assault occurred at about 7 p.m. Sunday in the 1500 block of South Novato Boulevard when a group of people assaulted a man, according to police. 

After the victim escaped, a suspect tried to run him down with a car but the victim managed to get away unscathed, police said. 

Later that night, several people assaulted the man again, according to police. 

Police made three arrests Sunday night -- 24-year-old Tatiana Jenkins, of Antioch, 19-year-old Christopher Cooke, of Novato, and a 16-year-old boy. 

Between Tuesday and Thursday, police arrested three additional suspects in connection with the incident. 

Christian Velasquez, 21, of Novato, was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy, participating in a criminal street gang and probation violation. 

Carlos Rodas, 20, of Novato, was arrested on suspicion of participating in a criminal street gang, assault with a deadly weapon, criminal threats and dissuading a witness. 

And Diego DelaCerda-Guerrero, 21, of Larkspur, was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, conspiracy, participating in a criminal street gang and dissuading a witness. 

All three men were booked into Marin County Jail. The incident remains under investigation.
