Novato Police Investigating Shooting in Downtown Neighborhood; 3 Arrested

Novato police were investigating a shooting Friday night in a downtown neighborhood, said Saturday.

Sgt. Jay Demski said officers responded to the area of George Street and Court Road, an intersection just north of the Blockbuster video store and just west of the Mission Lodge. Demski said more information would be available later Saturday.

Two men were arrested at 10:40 p.m. Friday in that location, and a third was picked up by police at 3 a.m. Saturday. Their connections to the shooting were unclear, but all three were booked at Marin County Jail and facing counts of shooting at an inhabited dwelling or vehicle, participating in a criminal street gang or assault with a firearm.

The shooting comes about 10 weeks after in the same location.
