The Novato Police Department just invited you out for coffee.
The department will hold a "Coffee with the Cops" event that will give local residents a chance to discuss public safety concerns and learn how to connect with police through social media.

The event will be held at the Novato Youth Center (680 Wilson Boulevard) on July 9 from 8 to 9:30 a.m.

Officers from the department's patrol, traffic and investigations divisions along with civilian staff will be available to meet with the public.
Police Chief Jim Berg will also be on hand.
Spanish-speaking police personnel will also be available.
