The Novato Police
Department will hold a traffic safety operation on Friday that aims to reduce
collisions throughout the city.
Four officers will work the state funded “Primary Collision Factor” enforcement operation from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Patrol officers will target moving violations that are among the primary causes of collisions throughout the city, Sgt. E. Riddell said.
Those violations include speeding, failing to stop at stop signs, running red lights and failing to yield to other vehicles, Riddell said.
The ongoing operation is funded through a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety.
