Novato Police, Fire Invite Community to Coffee Social

The following is a news release from the Novato Police Department: 

The Novato Police Department and the Novato Fire Department Invites the Community to have “Coffee with the Cops and Firefighters.” 

Novato community members are invited to attend “Coffee with the Cops and Firefighters”, a community event on Thursday, April 24th from 8:00 am to 9:30 am at Marin Coffee Roasters, 466 Ignacio Blvd. in Novato. 

Meet with Chief of Police Jim Berg and Fire Chief Mark Heine and their staff in an informal, friendly setting. Police Officers from patrol, traffic, investigations and civilian staff will be available as well as members of the Novato Fire Protection District. 

Coffee with the Cops and Firefighters provides a unique opportunity for community members to ask questions and learn more about the Emergency Responders in Novato’s neighborhoods. 

Coffee with the Cops is a national initiative supported by The United States Department of Justice, Office of Community Oriented Policing Services. Similar events are being held across the county, as local police and fire departments strive to make lasting connections with the communities they serve. The Novato Fire Protection District has joined with The Novato Police Department for this event. 

The program aims to enhance the relationships The Novato Police Department and The Novato Fire Department have already established with community members throughout the City of Novato.
