Novato Police Arrest Two on Suspicion of Vehicle Theft, Related Charges

Both suspects are Novato residents.

Novato Police on Sunday night made two arrests on suspicion of vehicle theft and related charges.

Police arrested the two suspects at about 10:27 p.m. at an unspecified location on Seventh Street, Lt. Dan Jenner said.

Armando Ochoa, 40, and Perla Uriostegui , 30, both of Novato, were arrested on suspicion of possessing stolen property, burglary tools and illegal drugs, Jenner said. Uriostegui was also taken into custody for $75,000 in outstanding felony arrest warrants.

The two suspects both tried to flee when approached by police on Seventh Street - Uriostegui in another suspected stolen vehicle, and Ochoa on foot, Jenner said.

Both suspects were booked into Marin County Jail.
