Novato Police Apprehend Suspected Embezzler
Local man is under investigation for embezzling more than $100,000 worth of merchandise.
Novato Police detectives arrested 44-year-old Novato resident John Mullin Thursday morning, believing he had embezzled more than $100,000 worth of merchandise from his former employer, the Ben Davis Company.
The Ben Davis Company primarily makes “workwear” clothing and is headquartered in Novato.
According to the police, the arrest was made in the Hidden Valley Lake area after what had been an ongoing investigation. The police allege that Mullin had been stealing from his employer from April of 2008 to April of 2012.
