Motorcyclist Hits Pickup Truck, Gets Pinned

Firefighters extract motorcyclist in serious condition just west of Stafford Lake.

A motorcyclist was pinned under a pickup truck Saturday morning after a collison on Novato Boulevard about a mile west of , according to officials.

At about 9 a.m., witnesses reported seeing a group of motorcyclists attempt to pass a car. The last motorcyclist in the line didn't clear the vehicle in time and crashed into an oncoming truck, they said. CHP is still investigating the accident.

The motorcyclist was found stuck underneath the truck when firefighter and paramedic crews arrived at about 9:10 a.m. CHP crews arrived shortly after. The man was immediately extracted, according to the fire department, and airlifted to Santa Rosa Hospital in stable but serious condition.

Traffic was briefly stopped in both directions and livestock cleared from the fields as emergency vehicles and a helicopter responded to the scene.
