Man Suspected of Stalking Follows Girlfriend Right to Police Station, into Custody

Incident followed domestic violence incident a few days earlier, woman says.

A woman who said she was afraid of her boyfriend drove directly to the Novato police station Friday as the man was following her, and officers were waiting out front to take him into custody, said Saturday.

The woman called police while in transit to report a domestic violence incident a few days earlier and to say her boyfriend was following her after they’d left a Novato home, Novato police Sgt. Jim Tross said. The woman pulled up at the police station on Machin Avenue and police arrested Paulo Espiritu Alamillo, 34, of Novato at 11:02 a.m.

Alamillo, who told officers he worked as a waiter, was arrested on suspicion of felony stalking and misdemeanor battery. He was being held at Marin County Jail on $100,000.
