Man Injured in 2-Car Crash

Collision took place Friday morning at Redwood Boulevard and Lamont Avenue.

A man was hospitalized with undetermined injuries Friday morning after a two-car collision near downtown Novato, a official said.

Redwood Boulevard was shut down briefly after two vehicles collided at 7:57 a.m. at the signal at Lamont Avenue, just south of the Old Town area, Novato Fire Captain Scott Freedman said. The driver of one of the vehicles, a man, was taken to Novato Community Hospital with undetermined injuries, he said.

The car that suffered the most damage was heading southbound on Redwood, Freedman said, but he deferred to investigators for further details. Phone messages left with police contacts were not returned as of Friday afternoon.
