Man Faces Child Porn Charges

Arrest took place at Novato home after tip received.

A 27-year-old Novato man was arrested Wednesday in Novato on suspicion of downloading and distributing child pornography, police said.

Andrew Clinton Sabin, who lives in the Bahia neighborhood, was arrested by at 10 a.m. at his home booked at Marin County Jail, said Lt. Keith Heiden. Bail was set at $10,000.

Detectives received a tip from the Marin County Sheriff/Coroner's Office that child porn was being downloaded and distributed from a computer linked to a Novato address, Heiden said. A search warrant was obtained for the Topaz Drive residence and served with assistance from the Silicon Valley Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.

Sabin was arrested after confirmation was obtained that the computer was linked to child porn.
