Man Beaten, Stabbed in Hamilton

Police on lookout for four or five male suspects who attacked 19-year-old man; latest report is that he's in stable condition with chest wounds.

A 19-year-old man was in stable condition with stab wounds in the chest early Sunday following an attack in the Hamilton area of Novato, said.

Investigators are continuing to gather information about the stabbing at 2:50 a.m. near the corner of Bolling Drive and Hutchins Way in the Meadow Park subdivision, according to Novato police Sgt. Jennifer Welch.

Initial reports indicated that four or five males jumped out of a vehicle and hit and stabbed the man who had been walking on the street. A passerby noticed the struggle and stopped to help, and the suspects fled on foot and possibly in a vehicle, police said.
