Guns, Nearly $1,000 Stolen in Home Burglary in Greenpoint

A home in north Novato was burglarized Wednesday, with money and guns taken, according to the Marin County Sheriff's Office.

The burglary occurred Wednesday afternoon in the 200 block of Crest Drive. According to the sheriff's office, the burglar/s forced their way through a glass door in the back of the home and stole $850 worth of cash and six guns.

There have been eight residential burglaries and one commercial one in Greenpoint over the past two years, according to Lt. Jamie Scardina, a Sheriff's spokesman, prompting residents to consider extra measures such as private patrols and security cameras.
