Greenbrae Bank Robber a Near Match for Novato Thief

Two men who held up the Citibank branch in the Bon Air Shopping Center on Friday afternoon could be the same suspects who robbed a Bank of Marin branch in Novato on Wednesday.

Twin Cities Police are on the hunt for two men suspected in the robbery of the Citibank branch in the Bon Air Shopping Center in Greenbrae on Friday afternoon.

The robbery occurred at 2:30 p.m. when a man entered the bank, located near the western-most exit of the shopping center.

The description of one the suspects is similar to that of a man wanted in connection with the robbery of a . Witnesses described one suspect in Friday's robbery as a white male in his early 20s, about 5-foot-9 with blond hair and wearing a flannel shirt. The suspected robber did not appear to be armed.

On Wednesday in Ignacio, a young white man in a Giants cap got away with an undisclosed amount of cash from the at . He wore a black T-shirt covered by a black-and-white plaid flannel shirt, short light-colored hair and had freckles. The clean-shaven man appeared to be in his early 20s, 5-foot-6 to 5-foot-8 with a thin build, police said.

Novato police said Friday evening there was no new information to release about Wednesday's incident.

Twin Cities police said there was no description of the Friday robbery suspect's accomplice immediately available. The two men fled in a dark-colored two-door Toyota, according to police.
