Explosion Leaves Hamilton Area In The Dark
Atherton and Black Point area residents also suffer a power outage Friday night.
A PG&E transformer exploded around 7:30 p.m. Friday night, leaving customers in the Hamilton and Atherton areas without power for about an hour, according to the Marin County Sheriffs office.
There were no details regarding what caused the explosion, but Novato firefighters didn't report any emergencies related to the outage. Residents reported hearing a "boom" last night.
