Driver Sustains Minor Injuries in Monday Rollover
According to the CHP, the driver fell asleep at the wheel and hit the attenuator barrels just north of Atherton Avenue.
Early Monday morning, a 24-year-old driver fell asleep behind the wheel, hit the attenuator barrels, and rolled her car on Highway 101, just north of Atherton Avenue, according to Eric Hohmeister, spokesperson for the Marin CHP.
The driver, Stephanie McKee of Novato, was traveling southbound on Highway 101 at approximately 2:35 a.m. when she reportedly fell asleep and allowed her 2010 Toyota Corolla to drift off the roadway.
Traveling at about 60 mph, her car drifted from the number 3 lane and off the roadway before it hit the attenuator barrels.

Following the collision, the Toyota rolled onto its roof and slid approximately 50 feet, coming to rest in the number two lane, facing in an easterly direction.
The driver complained of pain to her wrist and head and was transported to Kaiser in San Rafael by Novato Fire Paramedics.

Intoxication was not suspected to be a factor.
