Driver Hospitalized After Parking Lot Fender Bender

Woman driving Mercedes slams into SUV and tree outside Marin Community Clinic.

A woman lost control of her car in a Novato parking lot and slammed into another car and a tree on Thursday, causing what a paramedic described as a minor injury to the driver.

The woman complained of head pain when Novato Fire District and Novato Police Department personnel arrived at 6100 Redwood Boulevard following the 11:21 a.m. call for help, according to a fire district source. First responders found an older Mercedes sedan smashed against a large tree and damage to a parked Acura SUV.

Medics placed the woman, estimated to be in her 60s or 70s, on a backboard and transported her to Marin General Hospital as a precaution.
