Deputies Make Drug Arrest While Looking for Someone Else

Man living in his vehicle picked up in 800 block of Atherton in Novato.

Marin County Sheriff’s deputies made a felony drug arrest Thursday on Atherton Avenue in Novato while on the hunt for a warrant suspect, a sheriff’s spokesman said.

Myles Damien McDonough, 49, was discovered at 10:26 a.m. Thursday in the 800 block of Atherton Avenue. He was found to be in possession of two glass pipes for smoking dugs and some Vicodin pills, all in violation of his probation terms, according to Lt. Barry Heying.

McDonough, who gave his occupation as a landscaper, was booked at Marin County Jail and faces felony charges of possession of narcotics and possession of dangerous drugs without a prescription. In addition, he faces misdemeanor counts of possession of a hypodermic needle/syringe, possession of unlawful drug paraphernalia and a probation violation.
