Couple's Nature Excursion Takes Place Within Car's Interior

The Headliner:

1 p.m. – A couple were seen parked in a silver Honda Accord at the top of Rowland Boulevard engaging in what appeared to be sexual activity.  An officer responded and found the man sitting on woman's lap, and they were clothed.  They stated they had intended on going for a hike but "got side-tracked."

Jan. 4

3:51 a.m.  – A hit-and-run involving property was reported on Sutro Avenue.  A crash followed by screeching wheels was heard, and upon investigation, a fence had been struck.  Tire marks were noted further down the street.

9:46 a.m. – A back window of a Mercedes van on Windwalker Way was smashed and an iPad was stolen.

10:42 a.m. – A stolen vehicle was recovered near Birchwood Drive and Cricklewood Drive and returned to the registered owner.

1:04 p.m. – A driver was cited for reckless driving at San Marin Drive and San Ramon Way.  A second citation was issued for possession of a controlled dangerous substance.  Marijuana was taken for booking into evidence.

5:22 p.m. – A non-injury collision occurred between a Chevy Blazer and a Mazda sports car on Mariner Way.

6:40 p.m. – A customer at Maya Palenque restaurant on Enfrente Road smashed the music box with a stool.

10:03 p.m. – The owner of a residence on San Ramon Way was cited for the social host ordinance when several minors field-tested positive for blood alcohol at a party.

Jan. 5

2:15 a.m. – A man on Alice Street was stabbed by his ex-girlfriend.  A protective order was issued and served.

8:59 a.m. – A person on the 2300 block of Dominic Drive was arrested on an outstanding warrant and booked into the Marin County Jail.

3:42 p.m. – A black-and-white cow was seen running down the middle of Novato Boulevard near San Marin Drive.  The cow was recovered by a rancher.

4:09 p.m. – A blue Volkswagen GTI ran into a wall at San Felipe Way and San Ramon Way. No injury was reported.

4:57 p.m. – The driver of a black Mercedes sustained a minor arm injury after striking a tree on De Long Avenue between Sherman Avenue and Machin Avenue.

9:20 p.m. – Three men threatened to beat up a restaurant manager and were waiting for him outside the McDonald’s on Redwood Boulevard.

11:06 p.m. – A person was arrested at Fourth Street and Grant Avenue on an outstanding Sonoma County warrant.

11:44 p.m. – Trash cans were on fire only 10 feet away from a home on Oak Park Drive and only three feet away from two cars. Responding officers assisted the firefighters.

Jan. 6

1:02 a.m. – A patient at a facility in the 600 block of Tamalpais Avenue reported a case of elder abuse after a staff member apparently intentionally pushed a chair into the chair the patient was occupying, causing injury.

10:18 a.m. – A minor injury occurred during a rear-end collision on De Long Avenue and Redwood Boulevard between a black Mercedes and a burgundy Ford.  The driver of the vehicle that was rear-ended hit his head hard. An airbags deployed as well.

2:09 p.m. – A person on Seventh Street was cited for jaywalking and carrying an open container of alcohol.

4:51 p.m. – A white four-door Honda in a parking lot on Hutchins Way was leaking a large amount of gasoline from the trunk area.  A gas can inside the trunk was leaking and it dripped out through the rear of the car. Fire district personnel soaked up the spill and removed the gas can from the trunk.

8:19 p.m. – A woman on Encina Court experiencing fever-type symptoms stated that an ex-boyfriend attempted to poison her by adding a toxin to a carton of her milk.

9:49 p.m. – A man appearing to be extremely intoxicated at America's Best Value Inn, 7600 Redwood Boulevard, was arrested on suspicion of being drunk in public and booked at the Marin County Jail.
