Marin County fire officials quickly doused a small grass fire that sparked a couple miles outside of Novato’s city limit on Friday afternoon, according to dispatcher Lauri Thompson.
Dispatchers received reports of a grass fire on the 4300 block of Novato Boulevard at 4:34 p.m. Firefighters arrived and extinguished the blaze in less than a minute.
“It was very small, it only burned about one-eighth of an acre,” Thompson said.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
