Corte Madera Man Threatens Cops Who Pull Him Over in Novato

Investigation reveals 19-year-old is a gang member with no valid driver's license.

A 19-year-old man who threatened to shoot officers who pulled him over Friday night was arrested and found to be a member of a street gang, police said.

Geovanny Tafolla of Corte Madera did not have a valid driver’s license when he was pulled over at 8:39 p.m. at the corner of Hutchins Way and Muroc Lake Drive in the Meadow Park area of Hamilton. During the investigation, Tafolla threatened to shoot officers several times.

Tafolla was discovered to be a member of the West Side Wyno Surneo criminal street gang, police said. He was arrested and booked at the Marin County Jail for threatening a peace officer.
