Big-Rig Spill Messes Up Morning Commute on Highway 37

Significant backup reported westbound near Infineon Raceway.

A stalled big-rig has created a traffic jam on state Highway 37 in near Infineon Raceway, a California Highway Patrol officer said, creating problems for anybody heading westbound toward Novato.

The big-rig broke down at about 6:25 a.m. on westbound Highway 37  just west of state Highway 121, near the raceway.

CHP Officer Kevin Bartlett said about 10 gallons of gas spilled onto the highway, but there did not appear to have been a crash.

The big-rig was blocking one lane, and traffic is backed up significantly, he said.
