Auto Burglary Suspects Arrested After Novato Spree
Incidents were reported at Hamilton Marketplace and Vintage Oaks before officers got a good description on the suspects.
Three San Francisco men face several felony charges related to a rash of auto burglaries Tuesday in shopping center parking lots, Novato police said.
A reported burglary at 3:30 p.m. prompted a response from several officers to a spot near the Old Navy store at the Vintage Oaks Shopping Center, Lt. Jennifer Welch said Wednesday. A witness provided a description of the suspects' vehicle, and it matched what was seen in previous burglaries elsewhere in the shopping center and at Hamilton Marketplace, a few miles to the south of Vintage Oaks.
A Marin County Sheriff's deputy spotted the vehicle on southbound Highway 101 and made a traffic stop near Mill Valley. The men inside were identified as the suspects and arrested.
