The knife man might have been a visitor like the recent crazy man from Oregon doing carjackings here in Marin.

Two weeks ago, I saw a bum steal a large beer from Safeway, I pointed him out to an employee an she told me "He can have it, I don't want to get shanked over a beer." Problem #1: This enables low-lifes to live freely in our town. Problem #2: Theft forces businesses to raise their prices to paying customers. Why are the businesses, politicians, and police so "tolerant" of low-lifes here? The liberal, progressive and chicken-$&@# attitude is bad for everyone.

Thanks to Jerome's failed attept at E-Verify, Novato has become famous as a santuary city. Add to that the crack houses that the rest of Marin's lberals build in Novato under the guise of affordable housing, and we have the perfect dirtbag storm. Novato is now headquarters for triple bob stollers, beggars on every corner, and winos in the bushes, all on the tab of homeowners who go to work and pay their tab.

Bubba...agree! Thank you for articulating the truth!! But this is going on over most of California. The brand of Liberalism practiced here is an aberration of the norm.

Novato is the happy hunting ground for the developers who can skirt planning regulations, taxes, and risky speculation, all under the guise of affordable housing, the holy grail of carpet bagging builders. Of course, filling these crack houses with local dirtbags is a problem, but the rest of the bay area has no shortage. A section 8 voucher is a free pass to Novato, and the city council advertized in Richmond for worthless bums. Novato used to have the highest concentration of policemen and firemen per capita in the state, but they started leaving when the home prices went up and the trash moved in. Now we are seeing the police reports daily of crimes that are ever increasing, beggars on every corner, schools filled with disruptive students, and we have to pay for it all, while the rest of Marin laughs at us for being stupid enough to take the problem off their hands.
