Armed Teen Invaders Simply Out for a March

The Headliner:

1:06 p.m., Nov. 12 — Four teens wearing military clothing were seen walking single file near Orchard Way and Tamalpais Avenue. One had a rifle slung over his shoulder, prompting concern of the caller. An officer found that it was a junior military group practicing marching drills with a plastic gun prior to a Veterans Day event at a nearby senior living center.

Nov. 10

10:21 a.m. — A man in his 30s was acting strangely, sitting on the floor of a shower and saying Jesus sent him in the 7100 block of Redwood Boulevard. An officer determined he was outside a business and there was no merit to drinking, drugs or erratic behavior. He was asked to move along.

12:42 p.m. — A woman on Nave Court said her husband threatened to take their children away from her and said "You don't know what I am going to do to you when I see you." Advice was given.

2:53 p.m. — A green Honda struck a white Dodge van in the 900 block of Front Street and then fled the scene. A hit-and-run case was taken.

6:43 p.m. — A solicitor was said to be aggressive when receiving a "no" answer on Woodbridge Way. The subject was gone on officer arrival.

7:26 p.m. — A resident of Tamalpais Avenue said a watch was stolen while repairs were being done inside her home the previous day. Estimated loss was $1,500. A theft report was taken.

9:21 p.m. — Officers assisted firefighters when a resident lit a fire in a fireplace and smoke filled the home on Theresa Court.

Nov. 11

2:56 a.m. — Officers assisted a 13-year-old boy who was sleeping in the entrance of a business in the 900 block of Diablo Avenue.

11:10 a.m. — A person who made suicidal threats in the 500 block of Alameda del Prado was placed on a psychiatric hold at Marin General Hospital.

2:26 p.m. — A bedroom window was broken and a bathroom sink and cabinets were stolen from a vacant home that is under construction on Plum Street. Estimated loss is $2,000.

2:35 p.m. — A 17-year-old girl on Arlene Way was accused of threatening to harm her grandmother, who had adopted her. The girl, who uses marijuana and had harmed herself in the past, was determined to be a danger to herself and others and was placed on a psychiatric hold at Marin General Hospital.

3:35 p.m. — A parent said a 13-year-old daughter was touched inappropriately by a 30-year-old man six months earlier at a home in Hamilton. A sex crime report was taken.

3:41 p.m. — Malfunctioning railroad crossing arms were reported at Olive and Railroad avenues.

3:47 p.m. — A "juvenile hangout" was cleared by members of a homeowners association near Pepper Creek Way and Sandy Creek Way.

5:12 p.m. — A woman on Leafwood Drive said a party for her niece attracted a bunch of "Nortenos" who are trying to start a fight. There was no merit to any wrongdoing.

5:44 p.m. — A 14-year-old boy was suspected of molesting a 6-year-old boy. A sex crime report was taken.

Nov. 12

7:01 a.m. — An unoccupied Cadillac SUV was found off Highway 101 near the Golden Gate Transit bus yard after it apparently struck a tree and slid off the highway. CHP to investigate.

9:28 a.m. — A resident of the 400 block of Ignacio Boulevard suspects people are gaining entry into her apartment and stealing items.

10:05 a.m. — Two suspicious subjects were sitting in a parked car on Waterbury Lane. An officer found that they were employees of a solar company waiting for a home inspector to show up.

12:17 p.m. — A hit-and-run was reported at San Marin Drive and Simmons Lane. The suspect vehicle was a large white SUV.

9:53 p.m. — An injury collision was reported at Novato Boulevard and San Marin Drive. A woman was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving after being medically cleared.
